My Vision: Art that transforms spaces and touches people.
My Work: Abstract-expressive compositions in which inner images, emotions, moods, and thoughts become visible.
My Inspiration: The changing colors of the sky, the sea, and the seasons, the silent vastness of the mountains – and the Creator Himself.
ABOUT ME
Where art touches hearts
My creative journey
Even as a child, I was fascinated by colors, shapes, and free experimentation. In kindergarten, I brought stacks of drawings home almost every day and was overjoyed when my mother regularly took me shopping at the art store. That's where my creative journey began - even though it took many years and various career steps before I was finally able to live my passion as my calling.
Education & artistic background
I am a trained visual marketing designer, graphic designer, and certified social worker/social pedagogue (FH). At the end of the 1990s, while studying art therapy for two semesters, I discovered acrylic painting - perfect for my abstract-expressive style and love of experimentation.
My art & working method
I have been passionately creating my works for over 25 years. I prefer to work with bold, brilliant colors, which I apply to the canvas in several layers using a palette knife, paint roller, or painting knife. Often, several layers are hidden beneath the visible surface, giving the paintings depth and expression. In my mixed media works, I combine texture paste, paints, pigments, sand, paper, gold leaf, and other materials. This is how my joy in experimental work is particularly expressed.
Inspiration
I find inspiration in the play of colors at sunrise and sunset, in the changing seasons, in the majestic mountains, and in the vastness of the sea. I am also fascinated by stylish design, unique architecture, old castles and palaces, and museums of all kinds. However, the deepest source of my inspiration comes from the Book of Books—combined with my faith in the King of Kings.
